In his third Major League season, Hall of Famer Chipper Jones hit a solid .295 with 21 homers and 20 stolen bases helping drive the Atlanta Braves into another post-season. Chipper wore this home white Braves jersey during the 1997 season. This Wilson size 44 button-down jersey has “Braves” and a tomahawk paraph sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill with gold accent stitching. Navy/red/navy piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and on the sleeve ends. The Wilson tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with a “44” flag and an additional tag is sewn below with “97”. The back of the jersey has “C. JONES” sewn on in navy tackle twill on a matching white name plate, while his number “10” is sewn on in red and navy tackle twill. The right sleeve has the “JACKIE ROBINSON 50” patch, worn by all teams during the 1997 season honoring the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s first season in 1947. Chipper has signed his name in black marker on the top bar of the “0” on the back and inscribed “10”. This jersey displays excellent use with puckering on the numbers and signs of being washed multiple times. This comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (191114E2) for the game use and a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
