Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. After stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland A’s and Milwaukee Brewers, Randolph’s final season in the Majors was spent with his hometown New York Mets in 1992.

Offered here are two game bats used by Willie Randolph during the 1992 season with the New York Mets. The first bat is a light-colored Louisville Slugger S20 model bat that displays solid game use and has a crack on the handle that has been secured by tape on the entire handle. There are ball marks, black ink transfers and cleat imprints on the barrel. Randolph’s number “12” is handwritten on the knob and top barrel in black marker. Randolph has signed the barrel in black marker and inscribed “Game Used”.

The second bat in this lot is an all-black Rawlings 259B model bat. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a light coating of Mota Stick on the upper handle and the bat’s model number “259B” is stamped on the knob. Randolph has signed this bat in contrasting silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game Used”. These bats derive from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany these bats.
