Duffy Lewis was a leftfielder for the Boston Red Sox between 1910 and 1917. During those seasons, Duffy was on three World Series title winning teams and formed a formidable trio of outfielders that also included Tris Speaker and Harry Hooper. Before the famed “Green Monster” at Fenway Park, there was a 10-foot mound that formed an incline on the now famous left field wall. Duffy was able to master how to play that incline that the hill was dubbed “Duffy’s Cliff”.

Offered here are a pair game use Red Sox pants that were worn by Lewis between 1912-1915. This cream-colored flannel pants have faded black pinstripes and manufactured by The Horace Partridge Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The Partridge tag is sewn on the inside back waist to the right of that tag is handwritten in black marker “Marty McHale”. A white patch with “Lewis” embroidered in red is sewn on below and to the right of the Partridge tag. The front of these pants have four buttons and built-in flannel belt straps. The back has two rear pockets. These pants are in excellent condition, displaying only moderate use with some small stains. A great piece of Red Sox history and these pants come with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200117F2) for the game use.
