Produced in limited numbers, the World series "Black Bat" was given to participating players from teams in the world series, league officials and high-ranking executives. The 1969 New York Mets squad are celebrated in one of the four offered items, a commemorative Louisville Slugger bat in black wood, with the names and signatures of the “Miracle Mets” engraved in gold letters. The sweet spot features the legend “New York Mets World Champions 1969”. Among the facsimile signatures are Yogi Berra, Bud Harrelson, Art Shamsky, Ron Swoboda, Ed Yost, Duffy Dyer, Jerry Grote and Wayne Garrett, while the names of Tom Seaver, Tug McGraw, Nolan Ryan, Cleon Jones, Gil Hodges and Jerry Koosman are engraved around the barrel of the bat.
