Offered here is a SAM bat used by all-time home run king Barry Bonds during the April 6, 2002 game. The Giants were hosting the San Diego Padres at PacBell Park on April 6, 2002 and this bat has been photo matched to this game. Photo matched by PSA/DNA, Bonds went 0-for-2, but drew two walks and scored two runs in the Giants 4-1 victory over the Padres. This SAM Bat shows excellent game use and is un-cracked. The barrel has several strong ball marks and white leather scuffs. There are ink transfers and bat rack paint streaks present along with cleat imprints. The handle has been taped in black and white adhesive tape to enhance the grip. One of the finest photo matched Bonds gamers you will ever see. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B02066) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5. Please note that PSA/DNA has noted in their LOA in regards to the photo match: “We have reviewed several Getty Images of Bonds in action from April 5 to 7, 2002. These images, one of which represents one of our photo matches, are dated incorrectly. Bonds did not play on April 7th. Additionally, there are images of Bonds from games dated April 5 and April 6, but the image dated April 5th should read April 6th. Judging by the fans in the background the April 5th and 6th images are from the same game.  The images dated April 7th, show Bonds during a day game. Bonds was in the line-up on April 5th and April 6th, both day games. His next game was April 9th, a night game. In light of the inaccuracies with the April dates we have dated our photo matches to April 6th, 2002. The matches are Getty Image numbers 81449599 and 730604, dated April 7th and April 6th respectively.”
