The 2018 Supercopa de España was contested between 2017-18 La Liga and Copa del Rey champions Barcelona and Copa del Rey runners-up Sevilla at the Stade Ibn Batuta in Tangiers. Barcelona overcame ninth-minute Sevilla goal from Pablo Sarabia to emerge the 2-1 victors. The solid center back Gerard Pique scored just before halftime to even the score at one-all, while the dynamic winger Ousmane Dembele scored Barcelona’s winning goal with a thunderous strike in the 78th minute.

Offered in this lot is a winning player’s gold medal from the 2017-18 Spanish Supercup. Etched in high relief on the front of this medal is the Supercopa trophy, as well as “RFEF / Supercopa / De España”. Etched on the back of the medal is the RFEF logo and “Temp. 2017-18”. The medal is attached to a red and yellow ribbon, and it comes in the original blue presentation bag.
