Offered is a collection of Bruce Springsteen items featuring tuning pegs from his main guitar, a Fender Esquire. The legendary New Jersey rocker used these six Schaller guitar tuning machine heads on his famed Fender Esquire guitar while performing on stage. The six silver metal heads are displayed in a white foamboard mount in a 2 x 3 x 6-inch orange cardboard box with blue printing and a clear plastic window. The box is inscribed “the world’s finest guitar and bass machine heads” and “Schaller electronic” on the top, with the Schaller logo in white on blue on two sides and the legend “Prazisions-Mechanik” in blue on orange. The box is also inscribed “Made in Germany” at one side. This item comes with a letter of provenance from Michael Batlan, Springsteen’s personal full-time technical assistant from 1973 through 1986. Batlan attests that “one of my responsibilities was the care and maintenance of Bruce’s Fender Esquire guitar used throughout all those years.” This item comes with a 4 x 6-inch color photo of the tuning pegs on Springsteen’s guitar, as well a vinyl LP of Springsteen’s breakthrough 1985 Columbia Records album “Born in the U.S.A.”. This item also comes with a LOA from Michael Bartlan a Band member employed by Bruce Springsteen and listed as a band member on the included "Born in the USA" album credits.
