Offered in this lot are six full tickets to series one through six of the 1950 FIFA World Cup. This World Cup was played with a unique and novel round-robin tournament, meaning the teams that advanced out of the group stage played a total of six games. Brazil and Uruguay met at the end of the final round with Brazil only needing a draw to lift the Jules Rimet Trophy. In a resounding upset, Uruguay defeated the host nation 2-1 in the final match, with Juan Alberto Schiaffino and Alcides Ghiggia scoring arguably the two most famous goals in World Cup history. These offered tickets are in good condition, with period stamping. The tickets are in Portuguese and are full tickets. They come with a letter of provenance.
