Offered is a lot of five personal items, including “Keys to the City” from Robstown, Texas, Ashland, Kentucky, Corpus Christi, Texas and Mobile, Alabama, as well as a paperweight from Portsmouth, Virginia awarded to Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller. The righthander played 18 seasons in Major League Baseball with the Cleveland Indians, from 1936 to 1941 and again from 1946 to 1956. In a career spanning 570 games, Feller posted a 266–162 record, was an eight-time All-Star, and won the 1948 World Series. The first item in this lot is the key to the city of Corpus Christi, Texas on a gold metal tie clasp with seal of the city in light blue and navy-blue enamel. This item is accompanied by a 1 x 2 ½ x 3-inch black jewelry box with gold accents. The second item in this lot is a 4-inch gold metal key to the city of Mobile, Alabama. The third item in this lot is a 3-inch gold and black metal key to the city of Robstown, Texas. It is displayed in a 1 x 3 x 3½-inch white, black and gold jewelry box with the inscription “Guest Speaker Robert “Bob” Feller August 3, 1963 7 p.m.” below and American Legion logo in blue on white card in the lid of the box. The fourth item in this lot is a 4½-inch gold metal key chain engraved “Key to the City Ashland, KY David Aronberg, Mayor”. The fifth item in this lot is a ¾ x 2½ x 4-inch white marble paperweight with two inscribed silver metal plaques, one with the red and white shield and legend “Portsmouth, Va. All-America City” and the second inscribed “Bob Feller Cleveland Indians All-Time Great Right-Hand Pitcher Compliments of Richard J. Davis Mayor June 20, 1977” in blue. This item comes in a 1 x 3 x 4¼-inch white cardboard box with lid. This lot comes with a LOA from his widow, Anne Feller.
