With Hall of Famer Derek Jeter announcing that the 2014 season would be his last. The Yankees had special bases made for use in Derek Jeter Day on September 7, 2014. This white base was used during the top of the fifth inning on the September 7 game. The top has the “DEREK JETER NEW YORK YANKEES CAPTAIN” logo with his number 2 in pinstripes printed. The side panels have two different plates, both in dark blue that read “DEREK JETER NEW YORK YANKEES 1995-2014 SEPTEMBER 7, 2014” with his number 2 in white on two sets and his number 2 in dark blue with pinstriped backing on the other two sets. This base shows light use and Jeter has signed his name in bold black marker on the top. This base comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ286132) and a STICKER ONLY from Steiner Sports (206206). Please note that there is no LOA or COA from Steiner Sports, just their official authentication sticker affixed to this base.
