Sheffield hit his 25th home run of the 2004 season off A’s pitcher Octavio Dotel in the ninth inning with one on, one out to tie the game 6-6, with A-Rod hitting his 29th HR of the season in the 11th inning with one on, one out off Justin Duchscherer to win the game.
