The 1911 T3 Turkey Red cabinet cards are considered by many to be the most beautiful and well made tobacco set ever issued. In exchange for the appropriate amount of coupons from Turkey Red, Old Mill or Fez cigarettes, one 5-3/4" x 8" Turkey Red cabinet premium would be delivered. Interesting is the consumer could request which card he wanted, one reason why Ty Cobb, the most popular player of that time is more plentiful. This example of Fred Clarke with the checklist back displays tremendous colors and superb print quality. The corners are lightly rounded, with the lower right corner having a small corner chip. There are also a half dozen light edge wrinkles coming from the top edge down to the pictures inner border, but not disrupting the beautiful image of Clarke. Clarke was the leader of the 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series champions and he is properly represented on this scarce Cabinet premium.
