Barry Bonds was a starter for the National League in the 2002 All-Star Game, crushing a two-run homer off Blue Jays ace and Hall of Famer Roy Halladay in the third inning for his second career All-Star Game dinger. Bonds, a season removed from setting the single-season home run record of 73, had an equally spellbinding season in 2002. The former Arizona State star hit 46 homers with 110 RBI and won the National League batting crown with a career-high .370 batting average. Despite playing in his 17th season, Bonds was a terror for opposing pitchers, leading the Major Leagues in walks (198), OBP (.582, at the time an all-time record), slugging percentage (.799), and intentional walks (68), among other statistics. Bonds won the second of his four consecutive National League MVP awards and made his only career World Series appearance in the 2002 Fall Classic. Despite Bonds’ .471 batting average, four homers, and 13 walks, the Giants fell to the Anaheim Angels in a heartbreaking seven-game series.

This offered San Francisco Giants home jersey was worn by Bonds during the 2002 season and has been photo matched to seven games of the 2002 season, including the 2002 All-Star Game in Milwaukee that famously ended in a 7-7 tie. Sports Investors Authentication has photo matched this jersey not only to the All-Star Game, but to the May 5, 27, June 2, 16, 26 and 27 games. In those regular season games while wearing this jersey, Bonds combined to go 6-for-14 with three home runs, three RBI, seven runs scored and 10 walks.

This Majestic button-down cream-colored jersey has “GIANTS” sewn on across the front in black and orange tackle twill. The Majestic tag and Barry Bonds 2002 Authenticated tags are sewn on the bottom front left tail. The collar and sleeve ends have orang/black/orange chenille piping stripes. The right sleeve has the 2002 All-Star Game logo patch, while the left sleeve has the Giants logo patch. The back has Bonds’ number “25” sewn on in black and orange tackle twill and the MLB logo patch is sewn on the outside back collar in Giants’ colors. This jersey displays moderate game use and comes with a LOA from Barry Bonds and a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200117F9), who have photo matched this jersey to seven games.
