The New York Yankees famed core four consisting of Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada dominated the sport from the late 1990s until the late 2000’s winning five World Series Championships and appearing in six total from 1996 through 2009. Individually each is a member of monument Park and all four made their MLB debuts in 1995.  With the rapid increase in value of original photographs, this pair of four original photos dates to right around each of the players rookie and debut seasons. 

The lot includes signed photographs of Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada.  Each photograph measures 5 x 7 inches and each was sourced by an amateur photographer who would have athletes sign his own original images.  The signatures have all been done in blue Sharpie appear to have been signed around 1996 as well as evidenced by the structure of the signatures. The photograph of Andy Pettitte undoubtedly dates to 1995 as it features Don Mattingly in the background who retired following the 1995 season.  The photo of Rivera has Tino Martinez in the background indicated it would have been from 1996 or later, while the photograph of Posada shows him in his Columbus uniform in which he played from 1994 through 1996.  Three of the four signatures in the lot have been graded a MINT 9 by PSA/DNA and have been encapsulated, while the Andy Pettitte has been deemed authentic.
