With the increase in popularity and value of original photographs, in combination with Derek Jeter’s Hall of Fame Induction, this lot presents the perfect combination.  Drafted in 1992 with the sixth overall pick in the draft, Jeter started off slow, but quickly showed his future promise by the 1994 season when he was selected as the Minor League player of the Year by multiple sources.  While playing with three different clubs including a brief stint with the Albany Colonie this season, Jeter batted a combined .344 in 128 games.  He then made his Major League debut in 1995 and played only briefly, prior to becoming a mainstay at the short stop position for the Yankees, ultimately winning rookie of the year the following season in 1996.

This lot offers two Original 5 x 7-inch photographs each signed by Derek Jeter.  The structure of the signatures demonstrates Jeter’s early career autograph and dates to around his rookie season as well.  One of the two photos dates to 1994 during Jeter’s time with the Albany Colonie, while the other dates to between 1995-97 as evidenced by the presence of Wade Boggs who left the Yankees following the 1997 season.  Both signatures have been graded MINT 9 by PSA/DNA and have been encapsulated.
