Hall of Fame defensive end Warren Sapp wore this white Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey during five games of the 2002 season in which the Bucs finished with a 12-4 record and defeated the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders en route to the franchise’s first and to-date only Super Bowl title. This offered jersey has been photo matched to five games – the August 12th preseason game at home against Miami, the September 8th game at home against New Orleans (2 tackles, 1 sack), the September 29th road game at Cincinnati (3 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble), the October 6th game at Atlanta (3 tackles, 1 interception) and the October 13th game at home against Cleveland (5 tackles, 2 sacks).
This jersey features Sapp’s number “99” sewn on in red, orange and black tackle twill on the front, back and shoulders. “SAPP” is sewn on in red tackle twill on a matching white nameplate on the back. “BuccaneerS” is embroidered in black on the front and the black V-neck collar has the “NFL EQUIPMENT” shield patch sewn on the base. The inside back collar has a white patch that reads “02-50” and the Reebok tack with a “50” flag is sewn on the front left tail. The shortened tailored sleeves have a black end and the Buccaneers pirate ship logo patch is sewn on both sleeves beneath the numbers. This jersey displays heavy game use with stains, black paint transfers and team repairs. This jersey comes with a LOA from Resolution Photomatching (426453), who have photo matched this jersey to the above-referenced five games in 2002.
