This stunning game was used by Mike Trout to club a pair of the 29 home runs he would record during his 2016 MVP season. The two homers, numbers 6 and 7 on the year, were both hit against Milwaukee. The first came in the May 2 game when he hit a solo shot off Jimmy Nelson in the 6th inning. The second homer came two days later when he took Tyler Thornberg deep in the top of the 8th with another solo shot. These were career home runs 145 and 146 and Trout retired this bat after the second home run and signed and inscribed it for posterity. The Old Hickory MT27* model bat shows good game use. The barrel displays several distinctive ball marks, two of which are from home runs 6 and 7. There are stitch impressions present along with cleat marks. The handle has been wrapped with izard Skin and a moderate coat of pine tar applied. The MVP has completed this bat with a bold signature in silver and inscribed, “HR #6+7 vs MIL 7 Hits MVP 16 G/U.” A museum-ready piece with everything one would want in a Mike Trout home run gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18662) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10. PSA/DNA has also photo matched this bat to the two home runs Trout hit on May 2nd and May 4th of 2016. There is also a LOA from Anderson Authentics (2776) for the game use and signature.
