St. Louis Cardinals’ catcher Yadier Molina earned his ninth All-Star Game selection in 2017 as the game was held in Miami at Marlins Park. Molina is widely regarded as one of the top catchers in the game and in 2017 he had 18 home runs, 82 RBI and a solid .273 average from behind the plate. Selected as a reserve in the 2017 All-Star Game, Molina entered the game in the top of the sixth inning, catching Zack Greinke as they faced George Springer, Francisco Lindor, Yonder Alonso and Nelson Cruz of the American League, with Alonso getting the only hit of the half-inning. Molina would account for the NL’s only run in the bottom of the sixth inning when he took Ervin Santana deep to right center field for a home run that tied the game at one run apiece. The American League would win the game in extra innings 2-1 on a Robinson Cano solo shot in the 10th inning.

Molina wore this gold Rawlings chest protector during the 2017 MLB All-Star Game in Miami and has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching.
