Hall of Fame shortstop “Little Louie” Aparicio led the AL in stolen bases for the first nine years of his career with the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles compiling a total of 506 thefts in his 18-year career (36th on the all-time list). A consistent (.262) if not great hitter Aparicio hit a career-high .313 at age 36 in 1970 with the White Sox and racked up a career-total of 2,677 hits. This Hillerich & Bradsby S44 model, used by Aparicio at some time during the 1969-1972 modeling period, shows excellent use with multiple ball marks, stitch impressions and grain swelling on the barrel behind the Aparicio signature branding and contains a crack high up on the handle with a small amount of pine tar down low by the knob. PSA/DNA sticker (#1B04035) is affixed to end of barrel; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity, and GU 7.5 grading.
