Offered is a Mariano Rivera signature and inscription on a stretched canvas reproduction of a 1996 World Series ticket. The Hall of Fame New York Yankees reliever has signed his name in black marker in the center of the canvas and inscribed “W.S. Champs” below his signature. The 14 x 33-inch canvas reproduces the ticket to Game 1 of the 1996 World Series at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees defeated the Atlanta Braves, four games to two, to capture their first World Series title since 1978 and their 23rd World Series championship overall. The Yanks lost the first two games at home to the Braves but won their first championship with the “Core Four” of Rivera, Derek Jeter, Andy Pettite and Jorge Posada.
