The 2013 Boston Red Sox had a regular season record of 97-65, which not only won them the American League East title, but was also the best record in the AL. With that record, the Red Sox were the top seed in the 2013 playoffs and would have home field advantage throughout the American League playoffs. David Ortiz was the catalyst for the eventual World Series champions as he combined for a .353 average, five home runs and 13 RBI in the three postseason series and was named the 2013 World Series MVP. Offered here is David Ortiz’s locker plate that hung over his locker at Fenway Park for the 2013 ALCS against the Detroit Tigers. This vinyl plate measures 3 x 17 inches and has the Red Sox hanging socks’ logo on the left, the “2013 ALCS” logo next to that and “DAVID ORTIZ” in white on the right center. The far right has “34” printed in red and navy McAuliffe font with the New Balance “NB” logo on the bottom right. Ortiz has signed his name in black marker next to his name and inscribed “34”. The back of this plate has a magnetic backing. This piece displays edge wear, but is otherwise good condition and comes with a LOA from David Ortiz.
