Willie “Rainbow” Sojourner wore this mid 1970s vintage New York Nets cream colored nylon/polyester blend jersey with red, white and blue American-flag- style side panel, during the waning days of the American Basketball Association. Featuring one of professional basketball’s brightest rising stars, “Dr. J” Julius Erving, the Nets finished first in the ABA Eastern division during the 1973-74 -season and won the ABA Finals. Sojourner’s name is sewn across the back of the jersey in red tackle twill with Nets on the front and number 40 on both sides. Clean jersey saw heavy use with frayed stitching around numbers and letters. Rawlings size 44 manufacturers label is sewn into rear left inside tail; comes with MEARS LOA grading A-10.
