Former quarterback Chris Weinke spent six year in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system before enrolling at Florida State University at the age of 25. Despite his advanced age in relation to his college teammates, Weinke led the Seminoles to an undefeated season in 1999 and the National Championship. Weinke’s 2000 season saw him earn the Heisman Trophy, becoming the oldest player ever to win that coveted award.

Offered here is a black mesh Carolina Panthers home jersey worn by Weinke during the 2002 season. This jersey displays light game use and has Weinke’s number “16” sewn on the front, back and shoulders in white and teal tackle twill. The torso and sleeves are separated by silver/teal/silver vertical stripes and “WEINKE” is sewn on in white and teal tackle twill on a matching black nameplate. The NFL EQUIPMENT patch is sewn on at the base of the teal V-neck collar and the Reebok NFL Equipment On Field patch, along with “4”L.B” and “46” flags is sewn on the front left tail. The inside back collar has a white patch that has “02-46” printed in black. There is some light fraying and a few loose threads on this jersey, which comes with a LOA from RGU for the game use.
