Former linebacker Jonathan Vilma was the 12th overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Jets out of the University of Miami. While at Miami, Vilma helped lead Miami to the 2003 National Championship Game against Ohio State. This offered Miami Hurricanes home orange jersey was worn by Vilma during the 2002 season and has been photo matched to the October 12, 2002 game when they defeated in-state arch-rival Florida State 28-27. This Nike size 46 orange mesh jersey has Vilma’s number “51” screen-printed in white and orange on the front, back and shoulders. The dark green V-neck collar has the Miami “U” logo embroidered and the Big East logo is on the front right chest and the Nike swoosh is in white on the upper left chest. The sides and sleeves have dark orange and white stripes and the back has “VILMA” screen-printed in white on a matching orange nameplate. The jersey displays moderate game use with some paint transfer marks on the numbers of the left shoulder. This jersey comes with a LOA from RGU, who have photo matched this jersey to the October 12, 2002 game and a LOA from PM&G for the game use.
