One of the greatest hitters in Boston Red Sox history, Wade Boggs swung this bat during four seasons during which he hit a collective .355 and won three consecutive batting titles. Boggs also helped lead the Sox to the cusp of a World Championship in 1986 and another playoff appearance in 1988. This Louisville Slugger C235 model bat is un-cracked and shows heavy use. Many ball marks are found on the handle along with stitch impressions and blue ink transfers. There are red, green and blue bat rack paint streaks on all sides. A heavy coat of pine tar is on the lower handle with a lighter coat on the center brand. Boggs’ number “26” is handwritten on the knob in black marker and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel, “Best Wishes” also in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B09107) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and a LOA from Beckett Authentication (A23672) for the signature.
