You won’t find a more desirable Roberto Clemente game used bat than this. Dating from 1965 to 1968, this bat was swung by The Great One during what was arguably his finest seasons in his Hall of Fame career. Two of these summers, 1965 and 1967, Clemente was the National League’s Batting Champ, hitting .329 and .357 respectively. 1966 was his sole MVP season, hitting .317 with 31 doubles, 11 triples and 29 home runs. 1967 was the season he not only grabbed the Batting Title but also led the league in hits with 209. Besides being a monster with the bat, Clemente took home the Gold Glove Award every season from 1965 to 1968 for his highlight reel work in the Pittsburgh outfield. With a four-year run like that, you’d be hard-pressed to find a Clemente gamer that saw more action than that.

Clemente’s Hillerich & Bradsby G105 model bat shows good game use. There are several prominent ball marks on its barrel along with leather ball scuffs and ink transfers. Cleat marks are found on all sides and the handle has a light coat of pine tar. Both ends of the bat show abrasions from contact with the ground and there are bat rack paint streaks visible. The knob end has been stamped with the model number “G105” and Clemente’s hallowed number “21” has been handwritten in faded black marker. The ash has aged to a warm golden brown that gives this bat a very attractive appearance which combined with its honest game use, makes this a truly extraordinary Roberto Clemente gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18661) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5.
