The New York Yankees vanquished the overmatched Chicago Cubs in the four-game sweep, the Yankees third consecutive World Series championship. The artwork on the 8 ½ x 11-inch program is on white paper, with a pitcher wearing a light blue cap, yellow uniform and orange fielding glove, while a purple background features red silhouette images of a batter, catcher and umpire. There is a red border across the top of the program cover and halfway down either side of the page framing the image, while below the image the words “1938 World Series” are in red letters, “Yankees vs Cubs” in black letters, and “Official Program 25c” are in red letters. This program has been scored in pencil and based on the scoring, this dates to Game 3, which the Yankees won 5-2. This program is in good overall condition. All of the pages are included, but some are loose from the spine. There is moderate edge and corner wear.
