Featuring the legendary slugger Lou Gehrig on the cover, the New York Yankees continued in the Iron Horse tradition by sweeping the Reds in four games. Gehrig had recently retired earlier in the season after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) a disease which would ultimately bear his name. It was the Yankees’ fourth straight title, highlighted by the famous Ernie Lombardi “swoon” in the 10th inning of Game 4. This program is un-scored and is in good overall condition. There is an additional fold-out pre-printed scorecard that is included. There is minor edge wear on the spine, along with additional edge and corner wear.
