This program from the 1943 World Series played between the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals features various military servicemen on the front cover. Inside the program are black and white photographs of players from both teams as well as short player biographies. The scorecards on the inside have been partially marked, more specifically in the lineup portion. Based on the lineup notes, it appears this program comes from Game 1. Due to WWII both teams had depleted lineups but the series was a welcome break for fans of the game from the horrors of war. The Yankees would go on to defeat the Cardinals 4 games to 1 to win the 1943 World Series. This program displays moderate use and is in good overall condition. There is minor edge wear on the spine, along with corner wear and other markings.
