Under head coach Joe Gibbs, the 1991 Washington Redskins completely dominated the NFL on both sides of the ball. Ranked number one in the league in points scored while allowing the second-fewest points to their opponents, the Redskins cruised to a 14-2 regular season record. Quarterback Mark Rypien threw for 3,564 yards and 28 touchdowns, with his biggest targets being wide receivers Gary Clark (70 receptions, 1,340 yards, 10 touchdown) and Art Monk (71, 1049, 8). Running back Earnest Byner recorded 1,048 rushing yards. Defensively, Charles Mann led the team with 11.5 sacks. In the playoffs, Washington posted convincing victories over the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions before defeating the Buffalo Bills, 37-24, to win the Super Bowl.

Offered here is a stunning Tiffany & Co. 10K gold 1991 Washington Redskins Super Bowl XXVI championship ring, presented to team offensive coach Jack Burns, featuring an array of various-sized diamonds which make up the feather top design. “WASHINGTON REDSKINS WORLD CHAMPIONS 1991” appears around the perimeter in relief work. One side of the ring displays the Super Bowl XXVI logo and final score above a raised image of the White House. “HAIL TO THE REDSKINS” reads at the top. The opposite side depicts images of three Lombardi Trophies, in the background of a Redskins logo, each engraved with the Super Bowl number representing a Washington title. The name “BURNS” is at the top while a partially-worn “COACH”, under the team’s record of 17-2, is below. “TIFFANY & CO. 10K 420” is marked inside the band of this approximate size 11 ring. This item weighs approximately 48.1 grams. This ring comes with a LOA from Jack Burns, who states in his LOA this is the original ring he received.
