One year after the Boston Red Sox reversed the 85-year “Curse of the Bambino,” the Chicago White Sox put an end to their 87-year World Series championship drought. The 2005 Chisox resided in first place in the American League Central division from wire-to-wire and staged a spectacular post-season run, sweeping Boston three-games to none in the ALDS, knocking off the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 4-1 in the ALCS and defeating the Astros 4-0 in the Series. The south-siders jubilant mound celebration can hardly be contained in this 16x20 moment-capturing photo, brightly signed in silver sharpie by 27 members of the team including manager Ozzie Guillen, pitching coach Don Cooper, pitchers; Mark Buehrle, Jose Contreras, Jon Garland and Bobby Jenks, slugger Frank Thomas, outfielders; Carl Everett, Jermaine Dye, and Scot Posednik, infielders; Joe Crede, Juan Uribe, Tadahito Iguichi and Paul Konerko and catcher A.J. Pierzynski. Photo comes with full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
