One of the staples during the New York Yankees regular season is Old Timers Day. Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle was always one of the most revered returning stars and in 1974, The Mick returned as a newly elected member of the Hall of Fame. This offered Hillerich & Bradsby M110 model was ordered by Mantle for the 1974 Yankees Old Timers Day according to Louisville Slugger factory records. Accoridng to the MEARS letter of authentication, there was only one 35” 31 Oz M110 Bat ordered 7-25-74 for Old Timers day. This 31.9-ounce, 34.75-inch long bat does not display any use, other than surface wear, which is expected for such an occasion. The bat’s model number “M110” is stamped on the knob and the “Mickey Mantle” signature is stamped between “GENUINE” and “LOUISVILLE SLUGGER” on the barrel. Mickey added his real signature on the barrel in blue marker and inscribed “Best Wishes”. A great Mickey Mantle item and it comes with a LOA from MEARS (302748) for the use and has been graded an A6.5. Additionally, there is a LOA from JSA for the signature and a sticker on the knob from the Mickey Mantle Museum with the number 1091.
