Offered here are two game used bats from former pitcher Joe Niekro during his days with the Houston Astros in the late 1970s and a team bat from the late 1980s. The first bat is a Hillerich & Bradsby M110 model bat that was used during the 1977-79 seasons.  This bat displays moderate game use with a crack on the handle and two chips on the knob. There are ball marks, bat rack streaks and cleat imprints present on the barrel. Niekro has signed his bat in black marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18887) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8. The second bat is a Louisville Slugger C271 Astros team bat date to 1986-89. This bat displays solid game use with a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, black ink transfers and cleat imprints on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel. Niekro has signed his name on this bat in bold black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18886) for game use as an Astros team bat.
