Offered here are four game used bats and one post career bat from members of the Houston Colt .45’s/Astros from the 1960s and 1970’s. The first bat was used by Tommy Davis and has a labeling period from 1970-72. Davis’ Hillerich & Bradsby W166 model bat displays heavy game use and is un-cracked. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. The knob has a chip in it and this bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18904) for the game use. The second bat was ordered by Johnny Temple and has a labeling period of 1964. The bat displays heavy game use, but use by Temple cannot be confirmed. There is a crack in the handle that has been repaired by nails and there are paint marks on the front, right, back and top barrel. There are also mounting holes on the knob and top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18903) for the use.

The third bat in this lot is an Adirondack/Rawlings 89A model bat used by Jimmy Wynn with a labeling period of 1963-67. This bat displays moderate game use and has a crack on the handle. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18902). The next bat was used by John Bateman with a labeling period of 1964. Bateman’s Hillerich & Bradsby S216 model bat displays moderate game use and has a crack on the handle. The barrel has a small piece of tape that has the player and team name. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18901) for the game use. The final bat is a post-career Hillerich & Bradsby W15 model for Harry Walker with the labeling period of 1965-68. This bat does not display any game use and is un-cracked. “AL GALLMAN” is stamped on the lower barrel. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18900).
