The first item in this lot is a Didi Gregorius signature and inscription on a colorful photo and paint collage celebrating his 2017 Major League Baseball season, when he hit 25 home runs, the record for most home runs in a season by a Yankee shortstop. Gregorius has signed his name in blue paint pen and inscribed “NY Yankees SS HR King” below his signature on a paint-embellished color photograph of him in his white Yankees home uniform smiling with arms extended. The second item in this lot is a dual-signed and inscribed silk-screened color print celebrating the record-breaking 2017 seasons of New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius and catcher Gary Sanchez. Gregorius has signed his name in blue paint “Sir Didi Gregorius” and inscribed “NYY SS HR Record” below his signature, while Sanchez has signed his name in blue paint and inscribed “NYY Catcher HR Record” below his signature. Both signatures are in the center of the 20 x 26-inch color print which features photographs and paint-embellished images of the two players and New York City landmarks and symbols in a brightly colored collage. The 14 x 26-inch print is captioned “NY Yankees Shortstop Single Season Home Run King” in blue in the upper left corner of the print, and “2/4” in the lower right corner. Gregorius is captured at the moment he has hit the ball, bat falling from his right hand on his backswing as he heads towards first base.
