As one of the best all-around players in NBA history, Kobe Bryant had his share of great moments including winning five NBA titles, an MVP award and 18 All-Star appearances. This yellow Lakers mesh jersey was worn by Bryant during an October 1, 2012 Media Day at the Toyota Center in El Segundo, CA in preparation for the 2012-13 season. Across the chest is “LAKERS” in purple tackle twill framed in white stitching with Bryant’s number “24” uniquely displayed in white mesh surrounded by purple stitching. On the left front tail is an “Adidas CLIMACOOL 4XL” manufacturer’s size tag and attached is a “LENGTH +4” flag tag, with an adjacent “NBA AUTHENTICS” patch with their database number of LLA01122. The NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left shoulder and a commemorative purple “JB” patch was added to all Lakers’ jerseys following the passing of owner Dr. Jerry Buss on February 18, 2013. Each side of the jersey has a thick purple stripe outlined in white and purple the sleeve openings have thin purple stripes, along with a rounded V-neck collar. All these taggings are appropriate for an authentic game worn NBA jersey and Bryant’s number similarly adorns the reverse with the name “BRYANT” arched across the back in purple-on-white tackle twill. Bryant signed his name on the center of the “4” on the front of the jersey in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from the MeiGray Group (LLA01122), who have photo matched this jersey to the October 1, 2012 Media Day and noted that the “JB” memorial patch was added to this jersey after the photo-shoot. There is also a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
