This was Jeter’s second year, but his first full season as a pro, after being drafted in the first round out of Kalamazoo Central High School in 1992. Jeter began to show why he was selected in the first round as he finished the 1993 season with a .295 average, 5 home runs and 71 RBI in 128 games. Jeter led the Hornets to the North Division title with an 85-56 record, while advancing to the SAL Finals before falling to the Savanah Cardinals 3-2 in the Championship Series.
