Presented is a multi-signed are two 1989 All Star Game baseball bats with signatures from the American and National League stars. The 1989 MLB All-Star Game was held on July 11, 1989, at Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California, the home of the California Angels of the American League. The game is noted for being the first in All-Star Game history to include the designated hitter. The American League defeated the National League 5-3. The game is remembered for Bo Jackson's monstrous lead-off home run to center field. Jackson was named the game's MVP.
Each bat is a Louisville Slugger with the American and National League logos stamped on each side of the “1989 ALL-STAR GAME ANAHEIM STADIUM Anaheim, California July 11” stamp. The American League all-star signatures in blue marker include Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, All-Star Game MVP Bo Jackson, Ruben Sierra, Julio Franco, Jeff Leonard, Mike Greenwell, Mark Gubicza, Kelly Gruber, Chuck Finley, Gary Gaetti, Mike Henneman and Dave Stewart. The National League bat has the blue marker signatures of Hall of Famers Tony Gwynn and John Smoltz; Pedro Guerrero, Benito Santiago, Tim Burke, Tony Pena, Von Hayes, Tim Wallach, John Franco, Vince Coleman, Howard Johnson and two others.
