The history that has been made in Yankee Stadium since its construction in 1923 is intrinsic to this unusual memento: a square, padded piece of the original Yankee Stadium outfield wall that has been boldly signed by former Yankee “Bill ‘Moose’ Skowron #14, 5 X W.S. Champs 8 All-Star Games” in silver Sharpie. In addition, he drew a diamond with bases and inscribed “1961 Yankees World Champs” and wrote in the name of the respective player at each position: Ford, Howard, “Moose,” Richardson, Kubek, Boyer, Berra, Mantle, and Maris. The padding shows evidence of use, with edges that are worn and clay stains. The reverse has a wire to hang the piece on a wall with centerfield at the top. Otherwise, the item is intact.
