Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello had the best season of his career in 2016. Porcello had a sterling 22-4 record with a 3.15 ERA that earned him the American League Cy Young Award, beating out former teammate Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers. 2016 was also the final season in the legendary career of David Ortiz, who retired after the 2016 season. Ortiz led the Red Sox to three World Series titles (2004, 2007 & 2013) and became an icon in the city of Boston. Porcello gave this custom Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon bottle with “22” and “CY YOUNG AWARD” etchings in white to teammate David Ortiz. There is an image of the Cy Young Award in white with the Red Sox logo on the bottom with “PRESENTED TO RICK PORCELLO THE OUTSTANDING AMERICAN LEAGUE PITCHER 2016”. Porcello signed and inscribed in silver marker on the black side of the bottle to Ortiz “Pun – Thank you for a great 2016. It was an honor playing with you. I learned a lot from you that will never forget. You are truly the BEST.” The bottle is empty and comes with a hologram from the David Ortiz Estate.
