The 2013 was the final season for New York Yankees legendary Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera and started to mark a new era in Yankees history.  Rivera is regarded as one of the most dominant relievers in major league history. Pitching with a longevity and consistency uncommon to the closer role, he saved at least 25 games in 15 consecutive seasons and posted an ERA under 2.00 in 11 seasons, both of which are records. His career 2.21 ERA and 1.00 WHIP are the lowest in the live-ball-era among qualified pitchers.

This New York Yankees Clubhouse chair was used by Mariano Rivera during the 2013 Season.  The padded metal chair possesses Rivera’s embroidered number #42 and the Yankees top hat logo in the back rest.  Rivera has signed the reverse of the back rest in silver with the added inscription, “My Final Game” as the 2013 was also the final season from New York Yankees Hall of Fame closer during his farewell tour, although the use on the chair dates prior to his final appearance at Yankee Stadium late that season.  The signature and inscription have been authenticated by Steiner Sports and come with certificate of authenticity cards.  The game use has been authenticated by an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK653104) and Yankees-Steiner and comes with a full LOA.  The date of the game use on the chair reads 5/1/2013 indicating this chair was used during the first two months of the 2013 season most likely.
