Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle’s Country Cookin’ restaurants saw its first franchise open in Dallas in 1968. Mantle’s restaurant expanded across Texas and to Louisiana and Florida, before shuttering in the 1970’s. While the restaurants have closed, many unique souvenirs from the eateries remain, including this offered lot of eight items. The first item is a 7 ¼ inch Shenango China plate. The off-white dinner plate has etched “Mickey Mantle’s” across the top and “COUNTRY COOKIN’” on the bottom. Mantle signed his name in bold blue marker on the top center. Like the plate, there is a Shenango China serving dish, large bowls and two smaller bowls, all with “Mickey Mantle’s” etched across the top and “COUNTRY COOKIN’” etched on the bottom. Completing this lot are two Shenango China coffee mugs with “Mickey Mante’s” on the top and “COUNTRY COOKIN” on the bottom. The signed plate comes with a LOA from JSA (X98364).
