To many today, Alex Karras is better known as an actor, appearing in "Blazing Saddles" and starring for many years in TV's "Webster." However, Alex Karras is known to sports fans as a member of the NFL 1960s all decade team, appearing in four Pro Bowls and terrorizing opposing quarterbacks as a defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions. We present here a full game worn uniform consisting of durene jersey, satin pants and stirrups. "Manufacturer: Examination reveals Wilson was the supplier. The style of tag dates to the 1960-68 era, which is described as the red lettered Wilson with three rows of numbering laundering instructions.
Style: jersey is the dark blue pullover, with numbers on the front, reverse, and sleeves. Long sleeve style utilized by Karras during the era.
Game Wear: Jersey exhibits heavy game wear, with multiple repairs to the shoulders and body shell.
Complete with a matching pair of Wilson pants. Pants were issued to multiple players and include the uniform numbers 61, 71, and 74.
