One of the most thrilling and steady players of the 1960’s and 1970’s, Pete Rose consistently led the National League in hits as he climbed the ladder to Ty Cobb’s career hits record. The face of Cincinnati’s “Big Red Machine”, Rose hit .311 with 204 hits and a league-leading 655 at-bats and 732 plate appearances during the 1977 season this bat dates to. Rose’s Hillerich & Bradsby R195 model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent game use. There are ball marks and black ink transfers on the barrel. Rose’s number “14” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and Rose has signed this bat on the barrel in black marker between the Louisville Slugger trademark and “GENUINE – R195” stamp. Rose inscribed “Hit King” underneath his signature in the same black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19203) for the game use and has been graded the highest grade of GU 10. Additionally, there is a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
