At the age of 30, Hall of Famer Eddie Murray was entering his 10th season in the Majors – all with the Baltimore Orioles. Murray was the 1977 American League Rookie of the Year and a key member of the 1983 World Series Champion Orioles’ team. The 1986 season saw Murray continue to have a solid bat as the switch-hitter hit an impressive .305 with 17 home runs and 84 RBI in 137 games.

Offered here is a Baltimore Orioles road uniform (jersey and pants) that were worn by Murray during the 1986 season. The road gray button-down jersey was manufactured by Sand-Knit and is a size 46. “Orioles” and “33” are sewn on the front in orange and black tackle twill. The collar has black and orange borders, while the sleeve ends have black, white and orange borders. The Sand-Knit and “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BALTIMORE ORIOLES AMERICAN LEAGUE medalist Sand-Knit” tags are sewn on the front left tail. On the inside back-center tail are white patches that read “86-46Z” and “MURRAY 33”. The back has “MURRAY” sewn on in orange and black tackle twill on a matching gray nameplate, while his number “33” is sewn on below in the same black and orange tackle twill. Murray has signed his name in black marker underneath his number on the front.

The matching gray pants were also made by Sand-Knit and are a size 34 waist. The waist has black, white and orange stripes and the same striping pattern runs down each leg on the outside. The inside waist has the “86-34Z 24”, MURRAY 33”, “Sand-Knit 34” and “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BALTIMORE ORIOLES AMERICAN LEAGUE medalist Sand-Knit” tags sewn on. The pants display moderate use and Murray has signed the upper left leg in black marker.
