In the strike shortened 1994 season, Griffey Jr. led the A.L. with 40 home runs. Batting .323 he won a Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, and was second in the MVP voting. Griffey was an 11 time All Star, 10 time Gold Glove winner, and ended his career 6th on the all time home run list. He is arguably the most popular player in the past 30 years, consistently winning fan balloting for All Star Games. The Jersey is a Mariners home white 1994 jersey. Russell Athletic tags on front tail size 46, 2" extra length and 1994 year tag. Mariners logo on left sleeve, MLB 125th anniversary patch on right sleeve. The back has Griffey's number 24 and the name "GRIFFEY" sewn on back. It is important to note that while most Mariners jerseys had names on nameplate, Griffey had many jerseys with letters sewn directly on as he ordered extra jerseys (as documented by MEARS). The jersey shows moderate but consistent use. The jersey is signed by Griffey on the back, he added '24' to his signature which he did for items he provided personally as game used. Comes with MEARS LOA confirming the jersey as a perfect '10' as well as a certificate of authenticity signed by Griffey himself! Also certified by PSA/DNA.
