An original memento given out by the New York Yankees in 1973 to players, employees and executives commemorating the renovations that were taking place at the time. The Homeplate is a replica of the actual Homeplate that was removed from the stadium in 1973 and was signed by the team at the time and other important figures. The Homeplate features a brass plaque on the upper portion reading " YANKEE STADIUM 'THE HOUSE THAT RUTH BUILT -50th- Anniversary 1923-1973 BRONX, N.Y." This unique Yankee artifact comes directly from the Collection of long-time Yankees great and former 1973 team member Gene “Stick” Michael and is accompanied with a full letter of authenticity from the family.
