Gene Michael graduated from Kent State University in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. He attended Kent State with fellow New York Yankees teammate Thurman Munson and he played ten seasons in the MLB, coached the Yankees and Cubs and eventually became the Yankees GM in the early 90s. The field where the men’s baseball team played during the 1990s at Ken State was been named “Gene Michael Field.”
Offered in this lot is the ring given to Gene Michael for the Men’s baseball teams MAC Championship in 2000. The metallic gold colored ring featured CZ stones on the front and has the name “Gene Michael” engraved in the inside band. The ring comes in the original box and is in excellent condition and comes directly from the family of Gene “Stick” Michael.
