The Chicago Cubs in the 1980s, had teams chock full of young players who would become future stars and hall of famers.  This lot consists of 10 baseballs from Gene Stick Michael’s brief managerial stint with the Chicago Cubs from 1986-87.  There are five team signed baseballs each of which include Hall of Famers Ryne Sandberg and Lee Smith.  Four of the five team signed baseballs include Hall of Famer Andre Dawson and Rafael Palmeiro while others possess the like of Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley.  The lot also includes three baseballs signed by Billy Williams with the inscription “HOF 87” consistent with the period Michael managed the Cubs.  The lot also includes a baseball signed by Fergie Jenkins and one signed by Ernie Banks with his infamous MR Cub” inscription.  Most balls are white with some minor toning as they were kept in the closet for years and this entire lot comes with a JSA Auction Letter.
