For six seasons, Sandy Koufax dominated the 60’ 6” of real estate between the mound and home plate. Between 1961 and 1966, Koufax won three Cy Young Awards (when only one award was given for the entire MLB), a NL MVP, and three pitching Triple Crowns (leader in strikeouts, wins, and ERA). His career included four no-hitters (including a perfect game), and 2,396 strikeouts (second most for lefthanders, and one of only two pitchers who struck out more than a batter an inning).
This pristine, ash, 34-inch, Cooperstown Bat Co. Famous Pitcher Series bat bears the photographic image of this legendary Dodger lefthander, along with a synopsis of Koufax’ career statistics and feats. A red shield encircles the handle with “Famous Pitcher” written in red-outlined-in-white lettering.
Koufax boldly signed on the barrel’s sweet spot in vivid blue Sharpie. A COA from PSA/DNA (#T06714) accompanies this item.
